Our boats, or Junks, are built in Vietnam, utilizing local materials and the handiwork of skilled shipbuilders, craftsmen and artists. As in the days of old they are built entirely of wood. The wood featured in the interiors is called “go huong”, which translates as aromatic wood, it is a highly durable and beautifully grained wood which adds to the rich and warm character of the luxury boats. Each of Indochina Sails features spacious, well-appointed, luxury cabins and suites with large ensuite marble bathrooms, a large sundeck with comfortable lounging furniture and an elegant dining room and bar. We have designed and fitted our Indochina Sails to international standards while maintaining traditional Chinese Junk styling, creating the perfect balance of modern comforts and nostalgic ambiance.
Now renowned as number one choice for discerning travellers, Indochina Sails operates a fleet of four newly built wooden junks designed in time-honoured traditional Vietnamese style with contemporary facilities and luxurious fittings. Each Indochina Sail features spacious, well-appointed cabins and suites with large en-suite bathrooms, a large sundeck with comfortable lounging furniture and an elegant dining room and bar. The Indo 1 (14 cabins) and Indo 2 (15 cabins) are identical boats and were both launched in 2007. Each comprises 15 luxury cabins (Superior and Deluxe Cabins). The luxurious cabins are are a bit larger and feature rainfall showers and are all situated on the second decks of the boats.
Our newest boat, the Indo 3 (15cabins), launched in late 2008, also features ceramic artworks handcrafted in Bat Trang, well known as the home of the country’s most talented ceramic craftsmen. All of Indochina Sails junk are decorated with silk from Van Phuc, the “Silk Village”. Our smaller but more luxury boat, the “Valentine”, launched in late 2007, is perfect for those seeking a more exclusive and intimate experience. Valentine junk is a full service vessel offering all the facilities and amenities of our larger boats, but with only five  top luxurious cabins; four Deluxe cabins at 19 square meters each and one Suite cabin at 30 square meters, all with Jacuzzis.

2Days program and Rate

Day 1: Hanoi – Halong - Check in Indochina Sails junk ( L, D) Arrive at Bai Chay - Halong. Board on our luxury cruise then enjoy welcome cocktail and receive cruise briefing and safety instructions 12.15 Start discovering Halong Bay with our deluxe cruise and check-in cabins 13.00 – 14.30 Lunch with the best Vietnamese food 14.45 Arrive at Bat Cave (Hang Doi), you can choose from optional programs to visit local floating village with the cruise tender or to visit Bat cave by rowing sampan or kayak. Another choice is to relax with beauty services onboard. Return to the cruise 16.30 Depart by boat to Soi Sim Beach for swimming or just relaxing. Return to the cruise 18.30 Depart to Luon Bo area where the cruise anchors for overnight 19.00 – 21.00 Dinner, enjoy luxury Vietnamese food 21.30 Optional evening activities are: classical Movie Night or play board games with fellow passengers or relax with onboard beauty services or join squid fishing with crew. 21.00 – 23.00 Happy Hour at Bar and Sundeck. Overnight on board.
Day 2: Indochina Sails Halong Cruise - Hanoi (Buffet Breakfast included) Rising to the tranquil beauty of the bay we have time for a morning Yoga exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, a short trek to a nearby summit. 07.00 Depart to Surprise Cave (Sung Sot), this is a very beautiful lime stone cave with strange but awesome stalactites and stalagmites 08.30 – 10.00 Breakfast, then cruise back to Bai Chay dock 11h00: transfer back to Hanoi. Tour ends upon hotel's arrivals

3Days program and Rates

Day 01: Hanoi - Halong - Board on Indochina sails 11:30 Arrive at Bai Chay/Halong pier. 12:15 Transfer by tender to the Indochina Sails boat – enjoy Welcome Drink. Receive cruise briefing and check in to cabins 13:00 Lunch - deluxe Vietnamese and International Set Menu. Massage service is available beginning after lunch and throughout the cruise. 14.30 Arrive at Titop Island. Enjoy swimming, relaxing and climbing to the top of the mountain. Water and towels supplied. We will spend about 45 minutes on the island. 15.15 Back to the boat and sail for 45 minutes to second destination - the Bat Cave area. 16.15 Arrive at the Bat Cave area. An optional 40 minute kayaking program to the nearby Bat Cave and lagoon and surrounding waters OR to visit the largest floating fishing village in Halong Bay for approximately 20 minutes.
18:30 Arrive at Luon Bo area - anchor for overnight. 19:00 Dinner - deluxe Vietnamese & Western Buffet or Set Menu Dinner. 20:30 Evening activities include: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 9:15, board games and playing cards are available, join squid fishing from the boat with our crew, massage services are available. Also at this time we offer, when possible - depending on weather conditions, an excursion to a nearby squid fishing boat. We travel by tender and you will be able to board the squid boat and see how the local fishermen catch squid and other fish, the excursion lasts about 45 minutes. 21:00 – 23:00 Happy Hour! Day 02: Halong bay on Indochina Sails 6:45 Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the luxury dining room. 7:00 Arrive at the Surprise Cave area, there is a small fishing village here. Relax onboard. You may join Tai Chi instruction on the sundeck at 7:00, duraion about 30 minutes. 7:45 Enjoy Breakfast Set Menu or Buffet served in the dining room. 8:30 Transfer by tender to the “Day Boat” and begin to cruise to some of Halong Bay’s more secluded and untouched locales. Exact locations depend on tide conditions. Enjoy a leisurely day of kayaking and swimming. A multi-course lunch will be served mid-day. 16:00 Return by tender to the Indochina Sails boat. 18:30 Arrive at Luon Bo area - anchor for overnight. 19:00 Dinner - deluxe Vietnamese and Western Buffet or Set Menu Dinner. 20:30 Evening activities include: film entertainment in the dining room at approximately 21:00 – 23:00 Happy Hour! The Foot Massage Infused with the scents of lemongrass and fresh herbs, the bay view massage space provides the ultimate escape, allowing guests to enjoy a traditional Vietnamese foot massage in the midst of the bay’s beauty. Sunrise Tai Chi classes Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi class, held-weather permitting-on the open-air Sundeck. Kayaking Explore the bay’s uninhabited islands and sea caverns in our imported Canadian Seaward kayaks.
Snorkeling Discover the colorful coral and fish that lie beneath the surface of the bay’s clear, calm water. - For charter cruise, Mekonghalongbaycruise.com must receive the deposit of 25% ot the total booking value as soon as the reservation is confirmed. and 75% of the total booking value at least 30 (Thirsty days) prior check in.

* If Mekonghalongbaycruise.com does not receive the payment within the timeline, all services are automatically cancelled

- Mekonghalongbaycruise.com must received a tentative rooming list and expected arrival time at least 30days prior check in and the final rooming list, arrival and detparture date must reach to our office at least 10 days prior check in.

- Full information includes: full names of all guests, passports and visas numbers, cabin allocation, dates of birth, any special requirements (pick up/drop off points, diet, gifts and meals ect.) must be informed at least 7days prior check in.
